Paprika

 

 

Paprika has always been on of those mystery spices that no one ever knows the origin of.  The truth is it can be made of just about any red mild pepper.  You can even add bits if spicy peppers for a kick. Making your own is very easy and always tastes better when it is freshly ground.

EQUIPMENT & PREP

  • America Salts: Bacon Salt
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Dehydrate Time: 4 to 8 hours based on method 
  • Prep Equipment:  FinaMill , FinaPod Empty, Sharp Knife and Cutting Board
  • Dehydrating Equipment: Oven and Dehydrator
  • Shopping List: Two red bell peppers  and any blend of red peppers you like

Directions:

1. Peel peppers and remove any seeds
2. Coarsely mince peppers and lay out on baking sheet
3. Place sheet in oven at the lowest temperature setting
4. Bake until dehydrated 4-8 hours

5. Place pieces in FinaPod
6. Grind!
